4500 Syrians cross into Kurdistan
4500 people have illegally crossed the border into Kurdistan from Syria because of the unsettling situation that has prolonged in Syria, Jabar Hama Ahmed, minister of transport and communications in Sulaimani said.

He stated that 294 Syrian refugees have been recorded and 11 of them have families.

He also asked of the refugees to turn themselves in to the Kurdistan Regional Government so that they can be given proper housing and daily necessities because they are Kurds and have a right to live in Kurdistan.

Hundreds of Syrians take refuge into Kurdistan every month in search of protection and peace.
Accepting these refugees and providing them with food and housing will fill in the communicational gap between Kurds of Iraq and Syria.
