KRG Ministry of Labour probes into Arab worker’s death in Sulaimani
Kurdistan Regional Government’s Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs forms a committee to probe into the death of an Arab worker while working in a citizen’s house in Sulaimani on 7 July.
Only recently, another worker died of collapsing the fresh cement ceiling of a governmental building in Kalar, Garmiyan. People and government blame the contractors and the owners for not taking the safety measures as appropriate as possible.

Ministry of Labour has decided to form a committee to investigate how the Arab worker died while working for a citizen’s house in Hawari Taza neighborhood in Sulaimani, said Haji Rasoul Ali general director of Labour and Social Supplies in KRG Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs.

“Apart from investigating the July’s death of the Worker, the Ministry will face the careless side with legal actions,” he added.

Kurdistan is a financially growing region and most secure part of the country that has drew the attention of many Arab workers from middle and south of Iraq.
