Nine parties declare split from Arab political committee
Nine political parties in Iraqiya List have separated from the Arab political committee in Kirkuk, saying that the committee does not represent Arabs in Kirkuk.
Mazin Abdul Jabar, Iraqiya representative in Kirkuk, said: "Iraqiya List formed the committee in 2010 in Kirkuk but now nine parties from the list have declared their separation because they represent their opinion, not Kirkuk Arabs.”

Abdul Jabar said Iraqiya List supported the committee during the parliament election time but now some members of the committee left Iraqiya’s program and some moved to the State of Law Coalition.

"We support the Erbil and Najaf meetings to make political reforms in the country and withdraw confidence from al-Maliki but the committee has a different opinion. That’s why we declared our split from the committee."

The Arab political committee consists of Arab political parties, some members of district and town councils and a number of tribal heads of the southwest of Kirkuk.
