President Massoud Barzani formally invited to UAE
H.H. General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces sent his greetings to President Massoud Barzani through Naltuneji formally inviting the President to the UAE.
The UAE General Consul to Kurdistan Abdulla Naltunejia emphasized the importance and the value of the UAE Consulate in Erbil to the enhancement of ties between the two regions. He also praised the rapid development and advancement of all the areas in the Kurdistan Region.
President Massoud Barzani appreciatively accepted the formal invitation to the UAE pledging the Kurdistan Region’s complete support and effort to develop strong bilateral – economic and political – ties
between the two regions. The President also pledged to facilitate the investment of UAE companies in Kurdistan, particularly agricultural and tourism companies.
So far, there are 17 consulate offices in Kurdistan, some general and some honorary offices.
