Iraqi's Foreign Minister Hoshiar Zaberi opened Iraq's consulate in Frankfurt yesterday.

During the opening ceremony with the attendance of the Embassy of Iraq in Germany and the Frankfurt Consul the Kurdistan flag was lifted marking the official opening of the Iraqi Consulate in Germany.

In a speech the Consul General of Iraq in Frankfurt Fars Nal Shwkr praised the efforts of the Embassy of Iraq in Germany and the Iraqi Ambassador to Germany, and commended Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari for his attendance to the ceremony and on-going assistance.

The Iraqi Ambassador to Germany saluted the new consulate in Frankfurt and highlighted the attendance and efforts of the Iraqi FM.

In a statement Iraqi FM Hoshyar Zebari stressed the value of the bilateral relationship Iraq and Germany share, encouraging the investment of German Companies into Iraq, and expressing hope towards stronger and closer ties between the two nations.
