The Ambassador of German to Iraq Mrs. Breta Wagener met with Minister Falah Mustafa yesterday to discuss relations between Erbil and German ,the current situation in Iraq and the area.

Head of Kurdistan Region's Foreign Relations Department, Falah Mustafa, discussed with the new Ambassador of Germany to Iraq, Mrs. Breta Wagener, the current situation in Iraq and the area, as well as President Massoud Barzani's visit to Switzerland and Northern Ireland.

The Head of the Region's Foreign Relations Department discussed the area's latest developments and the situation in Syria, as well as the status of Syrian refugees. Minister Mustafa reviewed the Government's efforts, since the beginning of Syrian crisis, through setting a program to receive and help Syrian refugees in cooperation with the UNHCR, calling on the international community to provide more held to the refugees. He expressed thanks and gratitude to the German Consul in Kurdistan Region for the help he provide to the citizens of Kurdistan Region and its institutions that represent the depth of relations between Kurdistan Region and Germany.

For her part, Ambassador Wagener expressed happiness on visiting Kurdistan Region thanking the Foreign Relations Department, as well as the Region's ministries for the reception German missions received.
