The Kurdish delegation arrives in Baghdad
BAGHDAD/ Nechirvan Barzani, head of the Kurdistan Regional Government arrived to Baghdad on Monday 29, April at the head of a high level Kurdish delegation.

An informed source told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / that "The delegation includes members of the government and the regional parliament and a number of Kurdish political leaders," adding that "the delegation will meet with members of the National Alliance and then Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki."

It is mentioned that the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Martin Kobler welcomed the meeting, which would be held between Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and KRG President Nechirvan Barzani in Baghdad today.

He said in a press statement yesterday that: "Sitting together and engage in a constructive spirit is the best way to overcome the problems in this critical phase experienced by the country."

He added that: "the parties should address all outstanding issues, such as the true partnership, security, budget, and revenue sharing in transparent and frank and permanently."

Kobler expressed hope that "this meeting will contribute to long-term solutions based on the Constitution to overcome the current crisis in Iraq, and contributes in the return of the Kurds' Ministers again to the Cabinet's meeting in the nearest time."

It is scheduled that a high level Kurdish delegation visits Baghdad, headed by Prime Minister of the Region, Nechirvan Barzani to meet with Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki in order to reach satisfactory solutions on the dispute between the Governments of the center and the region.
