Minister Falah Mustafa participates in CEOs conference
Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq - (DFR.krg.org) – On Sunday Minister Falah Mustafa participated in the Chief Executive Officers conference in Erbil.

The organisation represents and connects young, successful chief executives in a global network. This is the first time the organisation is holding their conference in the Kurdistan Region.

As one of the leading organisers of the event, Mr Carl Bistany welcomed Minister Falah Mustafa, Head of KRG’s Department of Foreign Relations, and asked him to share insights into Kurdistan and its history.

Minister Mustafa touched on the tragic history for the Kurdish people and their suffering under the former regime. He said “We used to speak about tragic miseries our people endured, but today it’s about the success of our region and the future we aspire to.”

“We have continued the democratic march since 1991, but it has not been easy. We are now witnessing political maturity,’ he added.

He underlined the KRG’s policy to encouraging foreign direct investment and called upon the business community to be more engaged in Kurdistan.

During his speech, Minister Mustafa also spoke of the peace and stability of the region, co-existence amongst the diverse communities, and the KRG’s commitment to providing services for the people.

He also expressed his appreciation for Mr Bistany’s personal efforts in attracting better education for the people of the region.

As part of their conference in Kurdistan, the young chief executives have met with Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani and other officials.

Minister Mustafa was accompanied by senior officials from the KRG Department of Foreign Relations.
