KRG Condemns Waves of Terrorist Attacks in Iraq
In a statement issued on Monday, July 29 Presidency of Kurdistan Region strongly condemns the recent terrorist attacks that targeted Baghdad and other provinces, leaving a huge number of causalities.

The statement strongly condemns these terrorist acts, and expresses sympathy to the families of the martyrs with best wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured calling for bringing the criminals who are behind these bloody attacks to justice.

KRG also announces the Kurdish government’s readiness to help Iraqi government to overcome waves of violence and to restore security and stability in the country.

Increasing number of terrorist acts and the deterioration of the security situation, especially in the holy month of Ramadan, is concrete evidence that terrorists do not respect religious values, reads the statement.

Nearly 4,000 people have been killed since the start of the year, said violence monitoring group Iraq Body Count. In July, more than 810 people were killed in militant attacks.
