I extend my heartfelt condolences to the proud families of fallen heroes Khalid Hamed Hayas and Ali Karim Qadir of the Peshmarga Ministry’s 10th Infantry Brigade, who gave their lives in combat fighting ISIS terrorists in the district of Pidre.

I sincerely share the pain and grief of their families, friends, comrades and the brave Peshmarga. I pray to God Almighty to bestow mercy upon them and grant comfort and patience to all. May they rest in peace.

The repeated terrorist attacks and their acceleration leave no doubt that ISIS is still a danger threatening peace and stability in the country. Therefore it is imperative that we confront them with resolution, through cooperation and coordination between the Peshmarga and the Iraqi Army and with support from the International Coalition, to ensure their complete defeat.
