I strongly condemn Sunday’s rocket attack on Khabat district. I urge relevant authorities of Iraq’s Federal Government to find the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

It is not enough to denounce these attacks, as their continuation pose serious threats to peace and stability. It is the responsibility of the Federal Government of Iraq to rapidly take an effective and more serious stance against such hostilities, and prevent the repeat and continuation of the attacks in coordination with the relevant authorities of the Kurdistan Regional Government.
