President Nechirvan Barzani, in two separate phone calls, congratulated Mohamed Halbousi, the re-elected Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, and Mr. Muhsin Mandalawi who was elected as the first Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives during today’s parliament session in Baghdad.

The President wished them success in their new mission and underlined that preserving stability, collective work and surpassing the challenges and obstacles to the political process are possible only through dialogue and understanding.

For their part, Speaker Halbousi and Deputy Speaker Mandalawi expressed their appreciation to the President for his phone calls and well wishes.
