The Iraqi Oil Minister, Hayan Abdul Ghani, held a meeting with the delegation of the Kurdistan Region to discuss new mechanisms and data for the Kurdistan Region's oil exports following the decision of the International Tribunal in France.

The decision states that the Turkish government must comply with the instructions of the Iraqi side regarding the movement of crude oil exported from Iraq.

The Undersecretary for Extraction Affairs, the Undersecretary for Distribution Affairs, the Director General of the Oil Marketing Company, the Director General of the Economic and Legal Department, the Director of the Government Information and Communication Office, and a number of officials from relevant departments also attended the meeting.

The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, indicated that recent understandings with Baghdad laid the basis for solving the problem related to the arbitration decision.

The Ministry of Natural Resources in the Kurdistan Regional Government confirmed that the decision of the French court in favor of the Iraqi government against Turkey will not hinder their relations with the Baghdad government and that a delegation will visit Baghdad for dialogue and resolving related issues.

The Iraqi Ministry of Oil welcomed the decision of the arbitration panel and will discuss mechanisms for exporting Iraqi oil through the Turkish port of Ceyhan with concerned authorities in the region and Turkish authorities.
