President Nechirvan Barzani in Erbil met with the UK Ambassador to Iraq Mr. Stephen Hitchen, to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between the UK, Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. They also exchanged views on Iraq and the Kurdistan Region and the political developments in the country.

They discussed the relations and issues between Erbil and Baghdad, the internal situation in the Kurdistan Region and the challenges to resolving the issues. On these matters, they both stressed the importance and necessity of solidarity and unity among the political parties in the Kurdistan Region and their unity in Baghdad.

Their meeting also covered the situation in Syria and the Al-Hol camp, the latest developments in the region and other issues of mutual interest.
